hello week three.......

week three is going to be a continuation of week two.....still on the treadmill due to weather.....i know i am a wimp, but until it is over 50 i am a treadmill girl!!!!  get the whole fam involved in your workouts!!  my kids love the wii--or if you are experiencing spring get outside and get moving!! 

here is a great recipe (if you are a hummus lover like me)
hummus sesame noodles

1 pound whole wheat pasta
3/4 cup hummus (i like to make my own but i dont always have time so there are lots of great store brands)
1/4 cup veggie broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce or i use braggs to cut down on the sodium
1/2 dry roasted peanuts, crushed
1/3 cup sesame seeds, toasted if you like or not--they dont have to be!!
15 snow peas and 3 scallions thinly sliced
i also like to add more veggies--carrots celery beets--whatever i have on hand

cook noodles
in a large bowl stir together hummus and soy sauce and veg broth-toss the hot noodles with the hummus mixture and let cool--you might need to add a little wather if it sticks together--then top with peanuts, sesame seeds, snow peas and scallions
