sharing a dream...inspired by the painted path
i love love love julias post over at the painted path. today she shared her dream--a beautiful dream of creating her own book with her poetry and beautiful artwork. her post really touched me and i had to take part and share my dream.
i have lots of dreams and all of them involve the arts. i crave creative time and have been trying for years and years to figure out what road i would travel and make my dream come true. the thing that i struggle with most is self confidence. i always doubt myself and let the little obstacles get in the way of making my dreams a reality. how do i get past that??? how do i get started??? i let all the doubts take control of my mind and ultimately take over my dreams.
so with that said i have been praying and praying for a sign--something that would lead me to that road that i have craved for so long. well i have had two amazing opportunities fall into place over the last year. first is kenzi lu (which i have been dying to share with you, but it has taken so long to get organized--mostly because we are busier than we ever imagined and we have not started advertising)
kenzi lu was started with my friend jessie and is so dear to my heart. named after my sweet little girl, kenzi lu is a special business that raising awareness and money for 3 very special causes (we hope to expand as we grow). we make necklaces and all the proceeds are donated to our three causes. i wanted to have the site completely up and running but i really think you should check it out. here is the link to kenzi lu loves. please let me know what you think. there is so much more information that will be on there shortly, but it will give you an idea. oh this gives me goose bumps!!! i love creating something beautiful and helping others all at the same time. love love love!!!!!
second, i have always dreamed of photography. i love it and it makes my heart happy. it is for sure my biggest and most exciting dream. a few weeks ago i received a phone call from one of our local photographers asking me to help out at weddings. i am so thrilled to have this opportunity to learn from her--she is amazing!!! photography has always been a dream of mine. i love it!!! i am so thankful for so many reasons. thank you thank you thank you
thank you julia for the inspiration and happiness that you filled my heart with today!!
